Blue Canyon Country Club Announces Comprehensive Renovation Project for Canyon Course with Sports Turf Solutions

Blue Canyon Country Club, the home of championship golf in Asia for more than 30 years, has announced a significant investment in the renovation of its Canyon Course. The Canyon Course is one of the most renowned golf courses in Asia and has been the host of several prestigious golf tournaments, including the Johnnie Walker Classic and the Honda Invitational.

The club’s recent accolade of Thailand’s Best Golf Course 2022 by World Golf Awards is a testament to its commitment to providing a world-class golfing experience for members and guests. The investment in the Canyon Course further solidifies this commitment and is expected to enhance the golfing experience for all visitors.

To ensure the success of the renovation project, Blue Canyon Country Club has partnered with Sports Turf Solutions Co., Ltd (STS), a leading supplier of turf grasses, machinery, irrigation systems, and golf vehicles. Sports Turf Solutions has a proven track record of delivering top-quality turf grasses to several renowned golf courses in recent years, including StoneHill Golf Club, Hoiana Shores Golf Club, and Singapore Island Golf Club.

As part of the rejuvenation overhaul, the tees and surrounds will be converted to a new variety of Zoysia grass called Stadium Zoysia, which is known for its durability at low cutting heights. The fairways will be replaced with Zeon Zoysia, while the greens will be rebuilt with Tif Eagle Bermuda. The new grass varieties will not only enhance the visual appeal of the course but will also provide a better playing surface for golfers. Additionally, the irrigation system will be fully upgraded to a Hunter Pilot System, which will be complemented by a new pump station to ensure the efficient delivery of water to the course.

The renovation project is set to commence from March 20, 2023, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, depending on the weather and other circumstances. The renovations progress will be updated regularly through their website and social medias.

บลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับ ภูเก็ต ทุ่มงบก้อนใหญ่ปรับปรุงสนามแคนยอน ร่วมกับ Sport Turf Solutions

บลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับ ได้ประกาศการลงทุนครั้งใหญ่ในการปรับปรุงสนามแคนยอน หนึ่งในสนามกอล์ฟระดับแชมป์เปี้ยนชิพในตำนาน ที่มีชื่อเสียงที่สุดในเอเชียมากว่า 30 ปี ทั้งยังเคยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันกอล์ฟอันทรงเกียรติหลายรายการ รวมถึง Johnnie Walker Classic, Honda Invitational, และ Asian Tour

ผลจากการพัฒนาสนามอย่างต่อเนื่องมาตลอดตั้งแต่ปี 2562 โดยกรรมการบริหารชุดใหม่ บลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับ ภูเก็ต ได้หวนคืนสู่การเป็นสนามกอล์ฟคุณภาพแถวหน้าระดับประเทศอีกครั้งด้วย รางวัลสนามกอล์ฟที่ดีที่สุดในประเทศไทย จากงานประกาศรางวัล World Golf Awards ประจำปี 2565 พร้อมวางแผนการพัฒนาสนามแคนยอนให้มีคุณภาพมากขึ้นในแบบองค์รวม ด้วยการ ยกระดับประสบการณ์การเล่นกอล์ฟทั้งในด้านคุณภาพของสนาม การบริการ และโครงการอสังหาริมทรัพย์

การปรับปรุงพัฒนาคุณภาพสนามแคนยอนในครั้งนี้ บลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับ ได้ร่วมมือกับ Sports Turf Solutions Co., Ltd (STS) บริษัทตัวแทนชั้นนำด้านสนามหญ้า เครื่องจักร ระบบชลประทาน และรถกอล์ฟ ในการติดตั้งหญ้าคุณภาพระดับไฮเอน ที่ได้ผ่านการทำงานกับสนามกอล์ฟที่มีชื่อเสียงระดับโลกมากมายรวมไปถึง StoneHill Golf Club, Hoiana Shores Golf Club และ Singapore Island Golf Club

โดยการปรับปรุงสนามแคนยอนครั้งนี้คิดเป็นพื้นที่ประมาณ 360 ไร่ หรือประมาณ 1 ใน 4 เท่าของพื้นที่สนามบลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับทั้งหมด จะรวมถึงการเปลี่ยนหญ้าในพื้นที่แฟร์เวย์ที่จะถูกแทนที่ด้วย Zeon Zoysia พันธุ์หญ้าที่มีชื่อเสียงในด้านพื้นผิวและสีที่ยอดเยี่ยม กรีนจะถูกสร้างใหม่ด้วย Tif Eagle Bermuda ซึ่งขึ้นชื่อในด้านคุณภาพและความสม่ำเสมอ รวมถึงแท่นทีออฟและบริเวณโดยรอบด้วย Stadium Zoysia ซึ่งเป็นหญ้า Zoysia พันธุ์ใหม่ที่ขึ้นชื่อเรื่องความทนทานที่เหนือกว่า หญ้าพันธุ์ใหม่นี้ไม่เพียงแต่เพิ่มความสวยงามของสนามเท่านั้น แต่ยังมอบประสบการณ์พื้นผิวการเล่นที่ดีขึ้นสำหรับนักกอล์ฟในทุกระดับอีกด้วย

สนามแคนยอน จะเริ่มการปิดปรับปรุงตั้งแต่วันที่ 20 มีนาคม 2566 และคาดว่าจะแล้วเสร็จในปลายปี 2566 ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพอากาศและสถานการณ์อื่นๆ โดยจะมีการรายงานความคืบหน้าในการปรับปรุงสนามผ่านทางเว็บไซต์และทุกช่องทางการสื่อสารของสนามบลูแคนยอนคันทรีคลับ ทั้งนี้สนามเลคส์ยังคงเปิดบริการตามปกติ
